About Big Arty
*In foster care in Waterloo, Sydney*
Big Arty is the epitome of a gentle giant!
Friendly and affable, he loves squeezing himself onto laps then getting annoyed when he doesn't fit :) But he's too easygoing to let it faze him for long, and before you know it he's snuggling down with you on the couch for a scrolling session or TV marathon.
As clever as he is affectionate, Big Arty has excellent non-verbal communication skills, patiently walking you to his food bowl to let you know your services are needed! He also adores cat grass, catnip and creamy treats (see video).
It really doesn't take much to keep this sweet guy happy!
Like all Maggie’s pets, Arty is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'm looking for a quiet and calm sort of household, with adults only (or possibly gentle kids aged 8+) and no other pets please. I don't mind being at home alone during the workday, provided there's plenty of pre and post work cuddle time.
I'm harness trained, and I really enjoy short strolls to sniff the garden and lie in the sun. A safe outdoors space to explore would be my dream!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Low. I'm very partial to a hidey hole for snoozing (my favourite spot currently is between two sleeping bags in the cupboard). Wand toys can be fun for a few minutes, but I'm a classic couch potato at heart.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Loud noises and sudden movements are a bit nerve-wracking for me, so even though I adore everyone I meet, I think kids aged 8+ will be my best match.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I'm not great with other pets unfortunately, so I'll need to be your one-and-only. Luckily I'm all the furry friend you'll ever need (and then some!).

Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
