Meet Aubrey ✨

The sweetest, cuddliest 6-month-old pup you’ll ever meet. 🥹

Aubrey would happily live inside your pocket if she could. She is an incredibly affectionate little girl who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. She’ll be your loyal little shadow and follow you to the ends of the earth — but she’s also perfectly content sleeping in her crate or entertaining herself out in the yard.

She gets along well with her resident dog and could happily live with furry sibling. She would also thrive as an only dog with someone who is home more often than not and has plenty of love and attention to give her.

🌎 Learning about the world

Aubrey missed out on some important early socialisation, so she can find the big wide world a little scary at times. Underneath that uncertainty, though, she is naturally bold, curious and willing to give new things a try with a little encouragement.

She absolutely thrives on praise, pats and treats and is proving to be a clever little student. She has already learned sit and find, and is beginning to learn lie down and wait.

Aubrey would really benefit from ongoing training with her new family to continue building her confidence around strangers, new places and unfamiliar experiences.

At home, she is learning to use the doggy door and her toilet training is progressing really well. Even better, she sleeps quietly in her crate all night without a peep until morning. 💕

🐾 Her ideal home

Aubrey would suit living with older, dog-savvy children who understand that she sometimes needs a little space and time to feel comfortable. When startled or frightened, Aubrey can bark or growl, which could be intimidating for younger children, so we’re looking for a home with children aged 12+.

When Aubrey first came into care, she had experienced significant hunger. Because of this, she can feel worried about losing food or particularly valuable items such as bones. She needs to be given space while eating, and her new family will need to be patient and understanding while continuing to help her learn that her food is safe and plentiful.

Aubrey is expected to grow into a medium dog, so she’ll need a secure yard, daily exercise, enrichment and a family committed to continuing her training and socialisation.

Most importantly, she needs someone who will give her the time, patience and reassurance she deserves. Give Aubrey that, and we think she’ll give you something pretty special in return the most loyal best friend you could ask for. 🤎

She is in foster care in Medowie NSW. Her adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.
