Tictac is a former stray who has left her street days behind. Unlike many cats who take days to adapt to a new environment, she got out of her carrier and was kneading biscuits on her foster carer within the first few hours. Like her name suggests, she’s a breath of fresh air!

Give her space, let her come to you, and she’ll reward you with the kind of quiet, loyal affection that feels earned. She’ll greet you with a soft trill when you come home, loaf beside you on the couch, and curl up on your lap for a nap like it’s the most natural thing in the world. She’s incredibly easy to handle too. She’ll let you clip her nails without a fuss, and she’s happy to be near you, even if she’s not always demanding your attention.

Tictac is a calm, observant cat who thrives on routine and quiet company. She’ll follow you from room to room, watch the world from a sunny window, and enjoy a good wand toy session from her favourite spot. She’s not loud or demanding, but she’ll remind you when it’s meal time, and she’ll let you know when she’s had enough in her own gentle way.

Since coming into care, Tictac has been receiving treatment for overgrooming – a spillover from the stress she experienced being around other animals during her time in the pound. She’s already shown improvement with a consistent routine, special diet and a calm environment, and she’ll continue to thrive in a home where she feels safe and settled.

🏡 Tictac’s Ideal Home

Tictac would be happiest as the only cat in the household, though she could also get along with another calm cat – she’s been introduced to another cat while in foster care and it went well, leading us to believe she could get along with the right cat. She’s looking for a calm, predictable home – ideally with someone who is home often and ready to offer plenty of lap time, gentle company, and a steady routine. She’s best suited to a home with older children (10+) or adults who can respect her boundaries and appreciate a cat who is affectionate on her own terms.
