Meet Gus ❤️

Gus is a handsome young Kelpie looking for his forever home with someone who understands the Kelpie breed and can give him the structure, guidance and lifestyle he needs to thrive.

Gus is not suited to living in a backyard and going for walks around the neighbourhood.
He will need some type of job eg. agility, dog sports or be able to practice sheep herding.

True to his breed, Gus is super energetic, intelligent, boisterous and very talkative! He has a strong natural instinct to stalk, chase and herd, so he would be best suited to a farm, acreage or large property where he has plenty of space and opportunities to use his busy Kelpie brain and burn off his energy.

Gus would thrive with a firm, confident and experienced handler who is willing to continue his training and provide clear boundaries. He is a clever boy with plenty of personality and will need an owner who appreciates that a Kelpie isn’t just a pet — they’re a working breed with instincts and energy that need to be channelled in the right direction.

Underneath all that energy and cheekiness is a very affectionate boy. ❤️ Gus absolutely loves a cuddle and will happily enjoy having his favourite person give his ears a good massage.

Gus currently attends K9 country farm stay and paddock paws twice weekly to work on his socialisation and basic training.
