Beautiful little Karen came into care as a very scared young girl who didn’t trust people at all. Having not been handled or properly socialised with people from a young age, human interaction was unfamiliar and scary for her.

But slowly, Karen is learning. 🥹❤️

With patience, kindness and time, she has started to let her walls down. She is now accepting pats — and even enjoying them! Her favourites are gentle scratches under her neck and belly rubs once she feels safe with you. 🥰

Karen is still learning to trust. She may hiss at people she doesn’t know and can be a little flighty when she feels unsure. She needs someone who understands that she isn’t being nasty — she is simply scared and needs time to feel safe.

🐱 With cat-savvy people who understand shy cats
🐱 With friendly feline friends to help her feel secure
🐱 Willing to give her plenty of time to decompress and settle in
