Shadow is a beautiful, big-hearted Rottweiler boy looking for a very special family to call his own.

This handsome gentleman is a large boy with an equally big personality, and he’s looking for a home that understands and appreciates what it means to live with a powerful breed. His ideal family will have experience with large dogs or a good understanding of the Rottweiler breed, and children in the home will need to be 12 years or older and confident around large dogs.

Shadow’s dream home would have a secure backyard with strong, solid fencing where he can stretch his legs, roll around in the grass, and take in all those wonderful smells on the breeze. While he loves having outdoor space to enjoy, Shadow also wants to be part of the family. He would love indoor access, plenty of cuddles, and relaxing alongside his people while enjoying some TV time.

An apartment lifestyle isn't for Shadow — he needs the space and environment that a secure home with a yard can provide.

Shadow will need to be the only animal in the home. He can be conflicted around other dogs and also has some prey drive toward smaller animals, so a home without other pets is essential.

His future guardian will also need to be committed to helping Shadow continue developing his doggy manners and ability to disengage around other dogs. With the support of a positive-reinforcement trainer, his new family can help him build confidence, learn appropriate behaviours, and set him up for success when encountering other dogs out and about.

In return, Shadow has so much to offer. He's a beautiful, affectionate boy who wants to be part of a family, enjoy the comforts of home, soak up some sunshine in the backyard, and have his people by his side.
