About Moet
Introducing Moet!
Moet is a French Bulldog born 23rd June 2020.
Moet was brought into the facility as a stray, but when we contacted her owners they were less than helpful and made it very clear they wanted nothing to do with her as she digs under the fence to get out. After many discussions she was surrendered to the facility for rehoming.
Her surrender profile states she was an indoor & outdoor dog, but she isn't toilet trained. She travels well in the car, she's friendly with children & adult strangers. She is not friendly with cats, but gets along with other dogs. Her profile states she has no separation anxiety, but if there is any gap under a fence, she will escape from it. Given this, she will need a very secure yard or preferably be left indoors or in a secure enclosure when she is home alone.
When Moet was first brought into the facility she was quite underweight, but as she has a good appetite she's quickly coming back up to a healthy weight. Since being with us, every staff member & volunteer has fallen in love with her, as she's just an all-round sweetheart. She will have sudden bursts of excitement/craziness/zoomies, then turn into a little cuddle bug. We've noticed she's not overly interested in toys, she's more human focused than anything else and just wants to be loved.
Moet tested well with other dogs at the facility. She was a little timid to start off with, but with a slow introduction she became much more comfortable and social. We believe Moet could be suitable to live with another dog or be the spoilt only "child" at home. If you have a friendly dog at home, we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
Unfortunately Moet has shown signs of prey drive, so she will need a home with no small animals like cats, chickens & rabbits.
Moet has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety since being at the facility.
She still has so much to learn about the world and life and would love to be in a home where she is included as a member of the family. Moet will thrive in an environment that guides her with positive direction and lots of love and attention.

*Please note Moet is booked for desexing on Friday 16th October. She will not be able to go to her new home until Saturday 17th October.
Her adoption fee is $750 & includes her desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. She is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Moet is currently located in East Maitland.

If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
