READY FOR ADOPTION – MEET DAISY

Health/Medical: no known issues, luvs her 3 meals a day (until 6mth, then 2 meals daily), of dry kibble mixed with fresh chicken mince from Ritchie's, and wingettes/gizzards from Tasman Meats. Both are chemicals and hormones free. Luvs treats.

Personality & Play: Very friendly dog, luvs to play with either smaller, her size or larger dogs. Very submissive when approaching large dogs. Independent nature, likes to know what you're doing in the garden, but will also do her own thing. Makings of a good guard dog, already taking note and barking at strangers she can see in the street, but will listen when you say "no daisy".

Moderate Energy: will have her puppy spurts of energy playing but otherwise will occupy herself chewing on toys or playing or exploring and sleeping.

Routine and Training: good with a routine. Sleeps through the night in her bed next to my bed, has breakfast in the morning, plays and then sleeps till lunchtime, another meal, playing and sleeping, then I finish work and we all go outside for playing and exploring. Dinner around 8pm and then more playing and sleeping. Responds reasonably well to no, everybody in, dinner time (refers to all 3 meal times), who wants a bicky, off to bed, down, come on.

House and Toilet trained: about 90% toilet trained, will go out herself. First thing in the morning and before bed, I will walk out with her saying let's go for a pee pee or poo poo. She is very agile and food driven, so you can't leave food unsupervised, but that's a work in progress. She is still learning she will always get fed.

Manners and leash work: Responds to a stern no if misbehaving and is ok on leash. She has not been trained off leash commands. Shows no aggression to me when eating, ie I can touch her or her bowl, but will half finish hers and then look at other dog bowls and will show slight aggression if they look at her bowl. Work in progress.

Ideal home: would do better with a home with other dogs for company. She isn't a lap dog. She luvs her humans but is also Independent and would do well with a doggy companion. Someone who wants a dog around them, like a retired person working in the yard, garage or semi active person/people or a family with children over 10. Needs a yard, not suited to an apartment or flat.
