Hi, I’m Toby, a young boy with a very special personality!

I’m an “in-betweener” cat, which means I can’t be handled or touched. I’ve been thriving in foster care where I feel safe, have plenty of resources, and my boundaries are respected.

My forever home will need to start with a launch room — a bedroom with a door (not a bathroom or laundry) — where I can settle at my own pace. This process may take up to three months, so patience is very important.

I’m playful, curious and very active, especially at night when I love playing with toys. I’d suit a 1–2 bedroom unit or apartment where I can eventually have access to the whole home while keeping my world small and predictable.

I’m currently on medication to help with my anxiety, so my adopter will need to speak with a vet before adoption, as this medication will initially continue in my new home.

I’m not suited to a home with children under 12. Kids over 12 could be okay to live with if they’re cat-savvy and understand that I always need space and must never be touched or handled. I would however prefer a calm household

Because I can’t be brushed due to low touch tolerance, I also need a high-quality diet to help keep my coat healthy.

I may not be a cuddly lap cat, but I’m a playful, active little guy who will thrive with someone who understands me, respects my boundaries and is willing to let trust grow in its own time.
