About Chichi
Don't be fooled by her princess appearance, Chichi has the energy and drive of a race car! Being a kitten she has the usual high bursts of energy but it takes a long time for her battery to run on empty. She keeps her foster mum and siblings busy by running laps around the house but will end her little spree by happily jumping up onto her human's lap for a victory cuddle.
She is shy with strangers but once you earn her trust through food, cuddles and play-time, Chichi is keen to become your new best friend. She can be a bit needy as she had to spend the first few weeks of coming into rescue in isolation due to having ringworm, so she likes to make sure she is never alone and will meow if she cannot find her human or foster cat friends (and for a small kitten she does have a big voice!)
We know this little lady is going to be popular (who could say no to her squishy face) but being a persian, we will take preference for applicants with breed experience as persians are susceptible to more health issues than the usual cat.
She requires someone who will put in the extra work with regular grooming to prevent her long hair from matting, and regular dental checks and dental at home care due to her squishy face.
Medical notes
Chichi has gingivitis, due to her kitten age the vets cannot say for sure if this is to do with her breed in which case will need dental work once she becomes an adult, or just a case of juvenile gingivitis which she will grow out of.
Her future home must be prepared for regular dental checks with their vet to keep track of her progress.
Chichi had ringworm on arrival but this has since been treated and cleared by a specialist vet dermatologist.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
