Petal is a vibrant, playful and endlessly curious young girl who will be turning two on Valentine’s Day — which feels rather fitting for such a sweet little character! 💕
Petal got her name from her mum, Daisy, and she has grown into a confident, energetic cat with a huge personality. She absolutely loves to play and can often be found racing around the house, chasing tiny bugs, investigating whatever you're doing or finding somewhere new to climb.
Curiosity is definitely one of Petal's defining qualities. If something new comes into the house, she'll be there to inspect it. Put some paperwork down and she'll probably decide she needs to supervise. She loves climbing and being up high, and a good window where she can watch the world go by is one of her favourite places.
🧸 Playtime is serious business for Petal. She loves her toys and will even bring them over to you while you're working, rather like a little dog asking you to play! She's been known to carry her toys around the house — stick and all — and proudly bring them to her humans. You may even wake up to find that she's delivered a few to the bed overnight.
Despite all that energy, Petal has a very sweet and gentle side. She's friendly with people and really good with other cats, showing a particularly kind nature towards her feline friends.
She's not your typical stay-on-your-lap-for-hours cat — there's usually far too much exploring to be done! — but when she's tired, she loves being close to her people. She may curl up on your lap for a while or settle down near your feet at night. She's affectionate without being overly demanding: she likes knowing you're nearby while still having her own space.
Petal also makes an adorable little noise when she's wandering around, particularly at night, which has become one of her foster carer's favourite things about her.
✨ Petal would be perfect for someone who loves a cat with personality: playful, busy, inquisitive, social and sweet. She'd especially enjoy a home with plenty of toys, things to climb, good window-watching spots and humans who'll appreciate having a curious little helper involved in everything they do.
🐾 Petal also has a very special brother, Martin, who is looking for a home. Martin was the runt of the litter and had a difficult start to life, needing lots of veterinary care as a kitten. He's grown into a very sweet, gentle boy, but he's extremely shy around new people and needs plenty of time and patience to feel safe.
Martin is much more confident around other cats and absolutely loves his sister. Petal and Martin don't need to be adopted together, but if you're looking for two cats, they would make a beautiful pair. Petal's confidence helps balance Martin's more sensitive nature, and having his sister by his side gives him the comfort of someone he already knows and trusts. 💕
Petal is healthy with no known health conditions and is ready to find a home where she can continue being her wonderfully curious, playful self. 🌸

At Furever After Rescue Incorporated, our mission is to find Furever Loving Homes for every pet we rescue. We ensure a perfect match by placing our cats in suitable indoor environments, either strictly indoors or indoors with a secure outdoor enclosure. This protects both your cat, and the local wildlife.
Our thorough adoption process includes:
Adoption form: Provides us with essential information about your lifestyle and suitability for cat ownership.
Phone interview: Allows us to discuss your expectations and answer any questions you may have.
Video or physical house inspection: Ensures your home provides a safe and comfortable environment for the cat.
Adoption fee: Helps cover the costs of veterinary care for our rescued animals.
2-week trial period: Gives you and the cat time to adjust and bond before finalizing the adoption.
As of July 2021, the adoption of desexed animals from a registered rehoming organization like Furever After Rescue Incorporated means you'll receive free lifetime registration for your new pet. Furever After Rescue Incorporated is a designated registered pet rescue organization with the Office of Local Government, complying with section 88B of the Companion Animals Act 1998.
All our cats come microchipped, desexed, minimum 1st vaccination (depending on age), flea-treated, wormed and with a free NSW Lifetime Registration.

We also offer ongoing access to our community discounted products (Royal Canin food and various types of litter)!.

1. Returns & Refund Policy
First 2 Weeks: No refunds are given for cats returned during the 2-week trial period to ensure they are given sufficient time to adjust.
Up to 1 Month: A $50 admin fee applies to any approved refunds requested between the end of the 2-week trial and the end of the first month of adoption.
Future Surrenders: No refunds are available after the first month, and a surrender fee may apply if the cat is returned to our care in the future.
2. Application Outcomes We aim to review and respond to applications within 1–3 days. Due to high volume, we can only contact successful applicants. If you haven’t heard from us within this timeframe, your application has not been successful this time. No further action is required on your part, and we truly appreciate your support.
