Introducing Loki!

Loki is a Roman Nose Bull Terrier born 1st February 2026.

Loki came into the facility as an unmicrochipped stray. After some investigations it turns out the person who "found" Loki, was actually his owner. Apparently Loki was recently given to their 16 year old daughter. Legally she is unable to be his owner & the family are unable to have a dog where they're living.

Loki's surrender form states he was mostly an outdoor dog, but is semi-toilet trained. He travels well in the car, has no food aggression, he has no separation anxiety, he is friendly with children and adult strangers, he's not good with cats, but is friendly with dogs.

Since being at the facility, Loki has been a ball of excitement, love and muscle. He's a fairly big boy but still behaves like a baby pup who jumps up in excitment.. unfortunately he doesn't realise how much weight he has behind him and he may accidentally knock you over if you're not paying attention. Loki LOVES human attention. He will wrap his arms around you for a cuddle, he loves a back scratch and also appears to be fairly playful too. He's highly food motivated, so he will be fairly easy to train, however as he is SO excited he does get distracted easily.

As Loki is still technically still a puppy, he does have a tendency to mouth & give puppy bites. While he is responsive when corrected, he will need an owner who will understand this is not a sign of aggression, but typical puppy behaviour needing consistent training. Given this and how boisterous he can be, we are recommending a home with no young children.

He will need a confident owner, preferably one who knows the breed, so Loki can continue to grow into a beautiful & well-mannered young man.

As Loki is stunningly white, with beautiful pink skin, he will need a home where he can be protected from the sun. This could be having him as an indoor dog during the day, or have a covered outdoor area. If he is to be outside during the day he will need skin protection like zinc, as they are prone to sunburn which can lead to skin cancer just like in humans.

Loki tested well with other dogs at the facility. He met large, small, male & female and he was very playful with all of them. We believe he could live with another dog or be the spoilt only "child" at home. If you have a friendly dog at home, we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.

Loki has shown signs of prey drive towards small animals, so he will need a home with no cats or pocket pets like chickens & rabbits.

Loki has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety since being at the faciliy.

Loki still has so much to learn about the world and life and would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family. He will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.

*Please note Loki is booked for desexing on Friday 2nd October. He will not be able to go to his new home until Saturday 3rd October.

Loki's adoption fee is $700 and this includes his desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. Loki is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
