About Squirrel
Squirrel is a sweet and gentle senior girl who can be a little shy when meeting new people. She may need some time to feel comfortable in her new surroundings, but once she gets to know you, she gradually comes out of her shell and shows her loving side. She enjoys attention and handling on her own terms and is happiest when she feels safe and secure.
Squirrel is looking for a patient and understanding family where she can settle in at her own pace as the only cat in the home. A quiet environment, predictable routine and plenty of safe hiding spots will help her feel confident. She'll appreciate having her choices respected and being able to decide when she's ready for cuddles and interaction.
If you have a little patience to give and are looking for a lovely companion who will blossom as she gets to know you, Squirrel could be your girl.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
