Maitake

Maitake, or Mai for short, is a beautiful dilute tortie who's over seven years old and knows exactly what she wants out of life: a comfy lap, a warm patch of sun, and good company. She's named after the maitake mushroom, her earthy, mottled colouring is a perfect match.

Mai is the queen of the house, and she knows it. She's happy living alongside other cats, as long as they understand she's the one in charge, but she'd be just as content as an only cat with the throne all to herself. She hasn't had extensive time around dogs, just brief encounters while in care, but nothing has phased her so far.

What Mai needs

Mai wants to be wherever you are, curled up on your lap or stretched out beside you. She's hoping for a home where she can share a bed and a lap, and spend her days close by.

Mai is a talker, she'll happily chat back and forth, quacking away like she's got a lot to say. Beyond the conversation, she loves long naps in the sun, being a proper lap cat, and lazing around close to home. She's an easygoing, affectionate girl who just wants a soft place to land and someone to share it with.
