Meet Laputa - a gorgeous black and tan pup with bags of personality just waiting to be unleashed!

Laputa can be a little shy when she first meets someone new, but give her a few minutes and she'll come bounding out of her shell, cheeky as ever. So far, her foster Mam thinks she's a pretty chill puppy - but she does love to play with other dogs so a mentor dog is a high priority. This could well change so don't let this sweet little angel trick you.

As a Kelpie mix, she's got energy to burn and needs a family who loves getting outdoors - think long walks, hikes, and plenty of playtime. She's already off to a great start with her training: she knows how to sit, spin and stay on place, and she's crate trained too. She is learning loose leash walking but so far has almost zero recall.

Laputa gets on well with other dogs and would do best in a home with dog-savvy kids who understand how to play nicely with an enthusiastic little pup. She's also suitable for couples or singles who are ready for some adventure. Fair warning - she's a keen chewer, so anything left lying around is fair game in her eyes! A home with appropriate chew toys (and a bit of puppy-proofing) will keep everyone happy. Due to her breed - this is likely to continue until she passes her teenage phase so her new owners must be prepared for this.

This girl is looking for an active family ready for adventures, and her new owners must be willing to enrol her in puppy school or with a trainer to keep building on her training and help her continue growing into a well-mannered adult dog. Laputa is sometimes spooked by passing cars and people running but through lots of positive reinforcement this is improving every day.

With her smarts, energy, and cheeky charm, Laputa is set to be a brilliant family dog - she just needs the right adventure buddies to bring her out of her shell for good!
