About Paddington
Paddington is a male cat available for adoption in Richmond (Melbourne, Victoria).
Paddington is a loyal, social cat who likes to be wherever his people are. He waits at the door each morning, then leads the way to his food corner.
He's playful, clever and a little bit adventurous, with a gift for turning a paper bag into the best toy in the house.
A little about Paddington:
🐾 Plays in paper Coles bags, cardboard boxes, string and feathers
🐾 Gets the evening zoomies, then winds down on the couch
🐾 Keeps watch over the world from his cat tower and the window
🐾 Rolls over for a belly rub once he really trusts you
🐾 Loves a soft folded blanket, food and pats
Paddington's days have a happy rhythm. He keeps close by while his people get ready for the day, and naps on his blanket on the couch.
He enjoys supervised time on the balcony, too, and is always keen to see what's going on outside.
Come evening, dinner is his highlight, followed by a good groom. Then the zoomies arrive, and string, feathers and paper bags come out to play.
His affection is warm and loyal. He loves being close to his primary carers, and when he really trusts you, he'll roll over and show off his tummy.
He'll cuddle up for a snooze, too. A person who shares the couch or the bed is his idea of good company.
With new people, Paddington likes to take things at his own pace. He's cautious at first, then happily accepts pats from calm people who let him come to them.
He's happiest being patted on his terms, rather than being picked up straight away. Gentle, relaxed handling is how you win him over.
Paddington is an adaptable cat who does well with time and patience. Calm children are welcome, and a gentle household suits him best.
A home with room to roam suits his playful side, with someone around more often than not and perhaps some safe outdoor access to explore.
Picture coming home to a cat waiting at the door. A paper bag rustling in the corner while Paddington pounces on it. A quiet evening with Paddington stretched out beside you, purring.
Paddington is a loyal, funny, cuddly companion, ready to bring his bag-pouncing, belly-rolling charm to a calm home of his own.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
