Beautiful Breeana came to us as a stray, so we don’t know what her life looked like before arriving in our care. What we do know is that underneath her shy and nervous exterior is a very sweet young lady who simply needs someone willing to give her the time she deserves.
Breeana finds unfamiliar environments and new people a little overwhelming, so she won’t be the girl who confidently marches into her new home and immediately makes herself comfortable. She needs a quiet, patient home where she can settle at her own pace, learn her new routine and discover that she is safe and loved.
This nervous Nelly is looking for a home without children or canines, where life is calm and predictable. Her perfect person will understand that trust cannot be rushed and will allow Breeana to decide when she is ready to take those little steps forward.
Give Breeana patience, kindness and plenty of time, and you’ll have the privilege of watching this shy sweetheart slowly come out of her shell. Sometimes the cats who make you work a little harder for their trust make it all the more special when you finally earn it.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
