Nanna

Hi, I’m Nanna, and I’m a very big girl with an equally big heart.

I weigh around 43kg, so I’m definitely not a lap dog, although I may occasionally forget that! I’m calm, loyal and affectionate, and I absolutely love attention. I can be a bit of a sook and I’m happiest when I’m spending time with my people.

I walk well on lead, travel nicely in the car and know some basic commands including sit, lay and stay. I’m used to going for a good walk each evening and I enjoy getting out and about. Every now and then I get the zoomies, and because I’m such a big solid girl, I admit that I could accidentally knock someone over when I get excited.

I’ve lived around other dogs before and I had a best doggy friend who sadly passed away earlier this year. I think I would love another friend, but might need to warm up to a potential new buddy and slow and sensible introductions, and given my own space at meal times as I don't like other dogs trying to steal my dinner. I’m very gentle taking food from people and I also very rarely bark, so if I do, my family says there’s usually a good reason.

Cats aren’t really my thing, so I’d be best suited to a cat-free home.

I’ve traditionally lived and slept outside and I’m not currently house trained, although, I'm a smart girl and with a little patience and some training I reckon I could make a smooth adjustment to pending more time indoors. I'm also generally OK being left home along, but of course I'd much prefer to be with you.

Sadly, my family’s circumstances have changed and they can no longer give me the time and exercise I’m used to. They would love to see me find a home where I can continue being the loyal, loving companion I’ve always been.
