Axel is a handsome, affectionate Husky who enjoys being around people and has a lovely calm side.

With his striking blue eyes and gentle nature, he's the kind of dog who easily catches your attention, but it's his sweet personality that really makes him memorable. Around the shelter, Axel has been relaxed with new people and is generally easy to walk on lead.

He can be a little unsure when it comes to unfamiliar environments, other dogs and some handling, so Axel will do best with people who are happy to take things slowly and keep new experiences positive. Gentle handling, plenty of reassurance and a tasty treat afterwards can help him build confidence with things like harnessing and being touched.

Axel may be suitable to live with another well matched dog, and our team can arrange a meet and greet to make sure everyone is comfortable together. He is also suited to a home with secondary school aged children or older.
