Meet beautiful Suri — a gorgeous 15-month-old Rottweiler cross who, despite some significant challenges, is a loving, affectionate girl who adores her people.

Suri’s family describe her as a beautiful, loving girl who loves nothing more than a pat or belly rub. She is clever, knows her basic obedience, enjoys training and is very eager to please. She travels calmly in the car, is house-trained and crate-trained, and settles well inside the home with adults.

Sadly, Suri has developed behaviours that mean her current home is no longer the right environment for her. She has had fights with the resident male dog, has shown aggression towards the family cat and has bitten/attacked other animals, including a small dog at training and birds she has caught in the yard. Her family has been working with a trainer and behaviourist, who have advised that rehoming is the safest and most appropriate option.

Suri has also shown concerning reactions around children. She can become anxious and reactive when children approach or make sudden movements, and she has lunged/snapped at a neighbour’s child. Because of this, Suri cannot be placed in a home with children or a home where children regularly visit.

This is not a placement for someone simply wanting a young Rottweiler. Suri needs an experienced, confident owner who understands large-breed behaviour and is prepared to continue her training and provide clear, consistent boundaries.

Her new family will need to understand that Suri’s behaviour around other animals and children is a genuine safety consideration. She is not a dog who can simply be introduced and expected to “get along” with everyone.

But behind those challenges is a young girl who loves her people deeply. ❤️

She knows sit, down, leave it, come, shake, wait and drop it, attends weekly obedience training and enjoys walks, play and spending time with her humans. She loves pats and belly rubs and, according to her family, has a very good way of using those beautiful Rottie eyes to get exactly what she wants. 🥰

Suri is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and currently receives regular flea prevention. She has been well cared for and is comfortable with grooming and veterinary handling.

Her family love her enormously. They aren’t giving up on her because she isn’t loved — quite the opposite. They recognise that Suri needs a different environment where she can be the centre of attention, continue her training and have the structure she needs to succeed.

Suri isn’t looking for just any home. She’s looking for the RIGHT home. ❤️

A home where she can be someone’s one and only.
A home where her boundaries will be respected.
A home with someone confident enough to guide her and patient enough to earn her trust.

In return, her family believe she will give that person an enormous amount of love.
