Meet Chip

Chip is a gorgeous boy with a chatty, affectionate and playful personality who loves being close to his people. He's the type of cat who likes to know what you're doing and be part of the action-whether that's playing, relaxing nearby or curling up with you at the end of the day. His previous family described him as affectionate, playful and someone who simply "likes to be near you."

Chip has a wonderfully playful side too. He loves chasing foil balls and string toys, playing fetch and hiding in boxes. He can take a little time to warm up to new people, but once comfortable, he'll happily rub around your legs and make friends. He has also previously lived around children and was described as playful with them.

Since coming into the shelter, Chip has become a little more timid and unsure, and shelter life has understandably been a big adjustment for him. We feel that once he's back in a home environment where he can relax, feel safe and settle into a routine, his lovely personality will really start to blossom again.

When playtime is over, Chip is quite happy to settle in for a snooze. At night, his favourite sleeping spots have been on the bed at his human's feet or stretched out on the lounge. He enjoys affection, although like many cats, he has his boundaries-belly rubs are strictly on Chip's terms!

Chip has found himself looking for a new home through no fault of his own, after changes in his previous family's circumstances meant they could no longer keep him.

This sweet boy just needs someone to look past his slightly shy shelter self and give him the chance to settle in and shine. If you're looking for a chatty little shadow, fetch champion and professional foot-of-the-bed warmer, Chip might be exactly who you've been waiting for
