About Selene
READY FOR ADOPTION – MEET SELENE
Selene is a Golden Akita (golden retriever x American Akita) who came in with her many siblings as a personal surrender who bred them intentionally but then could not care for or house them appropriately before needing to relocate into another area of Australia.
She is fun and playful with a curious gentle nature. Selene is mostly black and has white highlights on her nose, chin and chest as pictured similar to her siblings with the typical golden retriever shaped ears.
She loves to play and will quickly sit for treats making her easy to train. She loves to curl up with her puppy and human friends alike on the couch to rest.
She has not been walked yet due to her vaccination requirements – this begins next week! Selene loves her sister Iris and engages well with Badger and Foxy who she is currently in care with and is crate trained overnight with them enjoying the routine of being inside with company right next to her and being let out in the morning – she is always quick to get to the door and go outside to wee learning the backyard is a good option for the toilet and so beginning her toilet training well.
Selene is great with children and actively plays with them. She is smaller currently than Foxy and Badger but she has plenty of growing to do! She thinks of herself as a lap dog and also gets picked up which would need to change as she grows! S
She play bites and tugs at clothing but is quick to stop with a quick redirection, sitting and waiting to find out what he should do next, playfully waiting for the next game or positive interaction which he loves.
Selene would love to go to a home where she is part of a family, gets to snuggle with them and experience this big world together. She is currently quite interested, curious and playful with simple items – like a mop! She needs gentle guidance, continued training and as much love and affection as a family can give her. She is ready to love you if you are ready to accept her as a valued family member.

Adoption details
Please head to our adoption page on our website www.furkidsrescue.com.au/adoption and complete an application form. We can then contact you to arrange a private Meet n' Greet.
Clients can also attend Adoptions Days where a Meet N' Greet can take place.
If all goes well a contract must then be signed and the animal can then be taken home.
All puppies are desexed, up to date vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm treated.
