About Lucy
Lucy is a beautiful seven year old German Shepherd who is looking for a new home where she can once again be an important part of the family.
Lucy’s family’s circumstances have changed since moving to their new home. They now have a young baby who suffers from asthma and, unfortunately, Lucy’s hair triggers his asthma, meaning she can no longer spend time inside the home.
With her family also having less time available due to work commitments, Lucy is no longer getting the walks, attention and time outside the home that she needs. Their new backyard is also quite small, leaving Lucy with limited space to explore and keep herself occupied, and she has become increasingly bored.
Lucy deserves a home where she can enjoy regular walks, plenty of companionship and the opportunity to be involved in family life again.
She is looking for a loving family who understands the needs of a mature German Shepherd and will give her the exercise, attention and companionship she deserves.
We always recommend to continue training when you take your dog home. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long and is a great way for you to bond with your new dog.
For those with prior experience, especially with large breeds, Lucy could be the perfect addition to your home. Committed to providing her new family with loyalty and love, she is eager to start her adventures with you.
Lucy is currently available for adoption in NSW, ACT, Queensland and Victoria. If you're interested in making her a cherished member of your family, you'll need to drive with your loved ones to meet him. Should she, for any reason, not be the perfect fit for your family, you would be responsible for either bringing her back to Sydney or helping us rehome her from your home.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
