Coco

Coco is a little dog with a big presence! She's mixed breed but looks like she has a good dash of Dachshund in that mix. Coco is the most lovable little pocket rocket! She's confident, happy, wiggly little girl who treats every human she meets like a long-lost friend. She loves other dogs too, but being full of beans she's best matched with a young, active dog who can keep up with her energy, as most senior dogs would likely find her a bit too much for them.

Smart and quick to learn, Coco has good recall and is obedient, except when excitement gets the better of her impulse control, as it can with most pups. She's almost fully housetrained and walks nicely on the lead.

This busy little sweetie thrives on daily exercise and play sessions - like chasey, ball and food puzzles - to keep her mentally and physically happy. Left bored or alone too long, she tends to dig a little, so she'll love a home where someone is around most of the time and where she's truly the centre of the family. She's also the kind of dog who will love going out and about with her new family to discover the world and introduce herself to everyone! One word of caution: Coco likes to be right in the middle of whatever you're doing, which means she can get underfoot at times.

On meeting children Coco has been great, though she does jumps up when excited; something that should improve with some training. She hasn't yet been introduced to cats or other animals.

MEDICAL NOTES
Adoption fee includes vet check, vaccination, microchip (including transfer of ownership fee), flea and worm treatment and sterilisation.

ADOPTION NOTES
Our adoption process for the successful applicant includes a meet and greet, (including your own dog if applicable), a home check (or photos/video of your yard and fencing to be supplied to us if not local), and a two week trial period to ensure your chosen dog is the right fit for your home.

All adoption fees must be deposited into the Second Tale Animal Rescue (STAR) bank account in full before adoption trial starts, and please note, we cannot accept cash. The Adoption Agreement will be emailed to the selected applicant in advance of meeting your chosen dog.

After the adoption trial period has been completed we arrange transfer of the microchip into the new owner's name, and email copies of the dog's vet records.
