About Lily
Lily is a gentle, shy, and sweet-natured girl who takes her time to blossom, but once she does, she forms an incredibly deep and loyal bond. When she first arrives in a new environment, Lily prefers to lay low and observe until she feels entirely safe. With patience, consistency, and a little wet food near her safe zone, her brave side truly shines through.
Once Lily knows and trusts you, she transforms into a wonderfully affectionate companion. She loves to sleep right next to her humans in bed, follow you from room to room to keep you company, and seek out lots of love.
Unique Quirks & Personality
The Bathroom Attendant: Lily likes to stay close to her favourite people. If you go into the bathroom and close the door, she will wait patiently outside. If you take a little too long, she will gently slip her tiny paw under the door to remind you she is still there waiting for you!
Couch Time Supervisor: Despite her quiet nature, she has a playful side and loves jumping up to relax on the very top of the couch.
Perfect House Manners: Lily is completely house-trained and consistently uses her litter box without any issues.
Feline Companionship Preferred
Lily has previously had a close feline companionship which helped her to feel confident. Unfortunately, he passed recently and we have now introduced another cat and are currently assessing her ability to settle with her new friend. We hope all goes well as she seemed a little lonely previously and we would ideally love her forever home to have a friendly resident cat, who Lily can bond with and keep her company when her humans are at work.
Ideal Home Environment
Lily is looking for a calm, patient, and quiet household where she can settle in at her own pace.
Adults or Older Kids: She is excellent with her foster carer's immediate family and older teenagers but can be easily overwhelmed by fast movements or loud noises. She will hide when young children visit, so a home without young kids is best.
Strictly Indoor Only: Lily has absolutely no desire to venture outside. Even when doors are open or stranger cats explore the garden, she prefers to sit safely inside and watch from the window.
If you have a quiet home, a gentle heart, and a feline friend looking for a sweet sister, Lily will reward your patience with endless love and devotion.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
