About Akari
*In foster care in North Sydney*
Akari is an affectionate, gentle girl with pretty calico looks and the most gorgeous nature! She loves nothing more than following at your heels as you go about your household tasks, hiding in nooks and crannies, cuddling on the bed and sofa with you, and chasing her wand toy :)
When Akari first came into care, she was very underweight and quite unsure of humans. She's had a slow and steady glow-up since then, and her confidence is now off the charts! She loves sitting by the window in the sun, observing the birds outside and napping under the blanket, alongside some occasional zoomies and parkour off the furniture!
Content with her own company, Akari also enjoys spending time with her special human/s, making her the perfect cat for a busy family or couple who are still mostly around at night.
This sweet girl is ready and waiting to melt your heart!
Like all Maggie’s pets, Akari is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: Being independent yet sociable, I'll suit a wide variety of households! No worries if you're out all day - I can keep myself entertained (usually by sleeping) - as long as you make some time in the evenings to play with me.
I'm totally comfortable with other cats and I might even enjoy family life!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: It varies - one minute I'm zooming around like a kitten, the next I'm out for the count.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Though I haven't met any kids yet, I think my gentle nature would be well-suited to a family home!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Great for cats - I've lived with lots of them in the past so I wouldn't mind a purrmanent companion or two! But I'd also be fine as your only feline friend.
Dogs are a bit scary, especially when they bark, so I'm not sure how I'd go with one of those.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
