About Goldy
🐾 Meet Goldy – A Quiet, Gentle Girl With a Heart Full of Love 🐾
Goldy is a beautiful 5 years and 9 months old Cocker Spaniel, weighing 13.7kg.
She came into care after being rehomed when she retired from breeding, but sadly a marriage breakdown meant Goldy once again found herself needing a home.
Since coming into rescue, she has truly blossomed and is showing everyone just what a beautiful girl she is. ❤️
Goldy is a quiet, calm and gentle girl who can be a little timid when meeting new people. Give her some time to settle, though, and you will see a completely different side of her. Once she feels safe, Goldy loves being close to her people, following them around the house and simply being part of family life.
She is very affectionate and loves cuddles, sleeping and being near her humans. She even cries with excitement when her people arrive home! 🥰 She is generally relaxed, although she does enjoy a little burst of zoomies before settling back down.
Goldy is toilet trained and can use a doggy door. She sleeps happily on her dog bed in the main bedroom and is a lovely, well-mannered house companion.
🐶 Goldy & other dogs
Goldy is comfortable around other dogs and has previously lived around dogs without issue. She is currently comfortable with an 11kg Labradoodle puppy and would be happy as either an only dog or with another suitable dog.
👧 Goldy & children
Goldy has been around children before, but loud and rambunctious young children can make her nervous. She would be better suited to a home with calmer, dog-savvy children who understand that she may need a little space while she gets to know them.
🌿 Walks & adventures
Goldy loves her evening walks and can now comfortably manage a longer walk of around an hour. She is still improving on lead and can initially become distracted, but she is a willing little learner and is continuing to gain confidence.
❤️ Her ideal home
Goldy's ideal home would be with people who are home more often than not, such as someone who works from home, shift workers or people who are semi-retired or retired. She can become nervous and stressed when left alone, so she would love a family who can give her plenty of companionship.
Goldy hasn't been cat or small-animal tested.
✂️ Grooming
Goldy is used to being groomed and will need regular brushing and professional grooming to keep her beautiful Cocker Spaniel coat healthy and free from tangles.
Goldy is such a lovely girl. She may be quiet and shy when you first meet her, but once she knows she is safe, she blossoms into a happy, affectionate girl who simply wants to be close to her people.
She isn't looking for a busy or complicated life — just a loving home where she can feel safe, be part of the family and enjoy all the cuddles she deserves. ❤️🐾

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
