Jax - or Jaxxy, as he’s affectionately known - has made quite the impression in his foster home with his patient energy and calm, devoted nature!

Quite simply 'the sweetest little guy in the world' (direct quote), Jax loves quietly but fiercely once trust is established. He isn’t the type of cat who needs to be the centre of attention - he’s the one who carefully chooses his person and then just wants to be close to them. In his foster home, the person he's claimed is the teenager! Almost every night since being in care, Jax has slept right beside her. Not just somewhere on the bed - he likes to have some little part of himself touching her, whether it’s a paw against her hand, his face beside hers or his body curled up close :)

Despite a rough start to life, there's such a gentleness about Jax. He's kind, affectionate and extremely soft-hearted, and we have a feeling there's still so much more of his personality waiting to emerge once he knows he's finally home for good.

And then there’s his friendship with the 12-year-old, rather cranky toy Cavoodle he currently lives with! Jax actually seems to prefer the company of dogs to cats, and somehow these two have become the most unlikely of best buds, happily hanging out together and curling up side-by-side for a snooze. It says so much about his beautiful personality.

Jax also has the cutest little overbite, which only adds to his completely irresistible charm!

Jax isn’t necessarily the cat who'll give everything away the moment you meet him. He’s the little guy whose love you earn - but once you have it, you have all of him.

After everything he's been through, Jax deserves a home where he can feel completely safe, loved and settled. In return, someone's going to get the most loyal companion imaginable!

Like all Maggie’s pets, Jax is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... is with someone who understands that the very best relationships sometimes take time to grow. I’d love a calm, understanding home where I can settle in at my own pace and get to know my people without being rushed. Once I decide you’re my person, I want to be close - sleeping beside you, snuggling up against you and making sure at least one little paw is touching you.

I'm not super needy, or the life of the party. I’m just looking for my special person: someone who wants a genuine companion and best friend. Give me time, safety and love, and I’ll give it all back to you in spades :)

MY ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a calm, gentle and easygoing boy. I enjoy exploring and having a play, but I’m equally content when I'm relaxing beside my favourite human - or canine friend - for a long snooze. Overall, I'm much more about companionship than chaos!

MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: There's children of different ages in my foster home and I really like them all (but I definitely have my favourite!). I think I'd enjoy family life with kind, respectful kids who'll give me the time and space I need to form bonds on my own terms.

MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I can coexist with other cats, and I'm very fond of my foster brother Ace, but I actually prefer dogs! Admittedly, there's only been a sample size of one, but the signs are good that I'd get along well with your resident dog if they're open to it.
