Meet Calorie; a young at heart, older gentleman who is looking for a quiet home to spend his retirement.

Calorie came into care overweight and has already had a huge transformation. He is around 10kg less than he was when he entered the pound, and is enjoying a more active lifestyle with light exercise and low fat meals (and of course, healthy treats)

Calorie is fully house trained, knows all of his commands and has great recall; plus he will quite happily hang out in the yard (or house), and snooze the day away if you’re out at work or running errands.
He also loves to have a cuddle in the evenings, or while you have your coffee in bed in the morning. This boy snuggles with his whole body and has a lot of love to give.

Calorie is currently in foster care on a small hobby farm and is fitting right in. He’s shown no interest in the sheep, cows or chickens, and is happy just being wherever his person is. Once he’s had enough pottering around he’ll happily take himself off to a nice spot to lay in the sun and have a rest.

Calorie is great with children of all ages, and has also met the neighbours cat which he didn’t look twice at, so would likely be fine with a dog savvy cat.
He is dog friendly and happy to be around other dogs, but much prefers the company of people.

Calorie would love a home where he can have a gentle walk a day, working up to longer walks as his health and fitness increases.

His occasional zoomies show just how much happier in his body he is becoming, and he would love his new owner/s to be committed to helping him be the healthiest version of himself he can be.
