Ruffles

I’m Ruffles, a 6-year-old Cavalier x Jack Russell girl, and I’ve been told I’m pretty cute. I’m not going to argue with that!

I’m a real little shadow dog. Wherever you are, that’s where I want to be. I’ll happily follow you from room to room, settle beside you on the couch and soak up as many belly rubs and pats as you’re willing to give.

Squeaky toys are definitely high on my list of favourite things, but my absolute favourite thing is you. I love my humans and I’m happiest when I’m close by, so I’m looking for a home where someone is around most of the time to keep me company.

I’m also a big fan of my food… perhaps a little too much! I’m currently on a diet to lose a kilo or two, although I personally think I look fabulous just the way I am.

The big wide world can be a little overwhelming for me. I can get quite excited when I see other dogs or people, so I’d much rather my new family take me to quieter places for walks where I can relax and feel comfortable without lots of activity around me. I’m learning, and with patience and gentle guidance I know I’ll continue to improve.

And here’s something you might not know about me… I love relaxing music! 🎶 Put some calming tunes on in the background and you’ll find me settling in nicely.

I know some basic commands including sit, stay and come, although when I’m super excited I sometimes need a little extra encouragement to remember my manners!

I’m a pro at using my doggy door and I’m also making great progress with my toilet training. I’m getting better at knowing that outside is the place to go every day.

What I’m really looking for is a peaceful home, someone who has plenty of time for me and, most importantly, someone who wants a devoted little companion by their side.

I may need some patience as I settle into my new life, but give me time, consistency and lots of love and I’ll give you something pretty special in return — a loyal little shadow who just wants to be by your side.
