About Harley and Hazel
Harley (aged 4 years) and Hazel, (aged 1 year) are Staffy mixes and best buddies; they don't like to be apart ❤️.
They love being with their humans but are learning to be on their own. Though they are not yappy, barking dogs, they will bark if someone comes to the front door or backyard; they are working on their welcome.
Their affectionate, good natures mean they respond well to instructions most of the time.
Chasing a ball 🥎 is a favourite passtime and they are getting better at dropping it ready for the next throw. These guys love their toys but need to be durable ‼️.
Both dogs have been loved 💕.
Walking 🐾 is a new delight and they are learning to use both halti and slip leads.
They love going for drives 🚗. Hazel needs to be well restrained with a short "seatbelt" as she can be mobile when excited.
At meal times, Hazel eats quickly so you will need to be nearby to stop her eating Harley's food before he has a chance to finish.
This gorgeous pair would do well with a good size backyard to run in and a family with energy.
If you have patience and kindness, Harley and Hazel will repay you tenfold with love.
They would be best in a home where children are 12 years or over and have not been tested with cats. They are housetrained ✔️.
Harley and Hazel need 1.5m-1.8m fences (5-6ft).
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
