**Meet Portello – A Gentle Ginger Boy Looking for Someone to Believe in Him 🧡🐾**
Portello is a gorgeous ginger boy with the sweetest little face and a gentle, sensitive soul. The world can still feel like a big, scary place to him, and he is currently very shy, easily startled and unsure of people. He will need a patient, understanding family who knows that trust takes time and is prepared to give him the space he needs to feel safe.
Portello isn't quite ready for lots of pats and cuddles just yet. Right now, he'd much rather enjoy playtime and observe the world from a comfortable distance. But with patience, kindness and the freedom to come around in his own time, he has the potential to blossom into a much more confident boy. Watching him slowly discover that he is safe and loved will be a truly rewarding experience.
Portello absolutely loves the company of other cats, and having a friendly, confident feline companion in his new home would help him feel more secure as he learns to trust his surroundings.
He's a playful boy who loves interactive toys and could happily spend time enjoying his favourite version of cat TV — watching the birds outside from a safe spot! Once he starts feeling comfortable, he also enjoys exploring his surroundings and discovering what the world has to offer.
Portello will need a quiet, adult home without young children, where life is calm and predictable. He needs a family who understands that he may take time to feel comfortable and who will never rush him or expect affection before he's ready. Letting him approach at his own pace will be the key to helping him settle.
Portello may not be the cat who runs up to greet you on the first day, but for the right person, earning his trust and watching his personality slowly shine through could be something incredibly special.

1. We ask that you fill in our Adoption Application before we make arrangements to meet a cat or kitten. This will help us to match you the best suited cat or kitten.

2. We will conduct an Interview via phone or video chat if your application is successful.
3. We will invite you to a meet and greet at a time that suits you and our foster carer.
4. If it is a purrfect match for cat and hooman, you will need to:
- Pay the adoption fee as listed. We accept direct deposit or cash.
- Sign our final adoption agreement and send it back to us
- We will conduct a house check and drop off your new friend. We carry out house checks to ensure that there aren't any escape routes, or toxic plants etc.
- We prefer our cats to remain indoors at all times for their safety and the safety of wildlife and are only outside if they have access to a cat run our are outside with supervision.
