Hi there, I’m Augie! 🐾At 9 months old, I am an adorable Maltese cross with a beautiful coat, a big heart, and an absolute zest for life!
If you are looking for a fun-loving, spirited companion to bring constant joy and laughter into your home, I’m your boy. My foster family says I treat every single day like an adventure. I am a very active young pup, making me the perfect partner for daily walks, backyard games, and fun playtime. Because I have a clever, busy brain, I love to stay occupied! I am a creative thinker who thrives when given fun outlets like durable chew toys, puzzle games, and mentally stimulating activities to keep me beautifully entertained.
The Perfect Home & Human Companions 🏡
I would absolutely blossom in an active household with older children (upper primary to early teens) who can join in on my playful antics and help keep me active. I am currently learning my boundaries, so a home without cats will suit me best. I am incredibly eager to please, so a family committed to ongoing obedience training will help me channel my wonderful potential and grow into the ultimate gentleman!
My Social Life & Doggy Buddies 🐕
I absolutely love other dogs, but I am a big, enthusiastic wrestler who plays with a lot of energy and joyous puppy mouthing! Because of my rough-and-tumble play style, I would do best in a home with a larger, friendly, and patient dog who can match my energy and gently show me the ropes.
My Star Achievements 🌟
I am already a total superstar with my toilet training! By following the wonderful example of my foster sibling, I’ve mastered the routine and will now happily walk right to the door to indicate when I need to go outside.
Augie has a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing, and professional clipping every 4 to 6 weeks to keep him comfortable and healthy.
Augie is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside.
Augie is in foster care in Ashtonfield NSW. He is not available for adoption interstate. His adoption fee is $1,100 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal cheques.
