About Boogie
This rufty tufty Territory boy was gifted to a couple as a puppy by an old indigenous man. He was born in a riverbed camp in the Northern Territory, but since puppy-hood has lived mainly in Alice Springs. Unfortunately his current family are moving and cannot take him, so are looking for a new home for him.
He is quite an independent fellow with a steady temperament, and a strong sense of responsibility regarding his home. While he is trustworthy inside or outside he has always been in the habit of sleeping outside as he likes to guard the property and deter intruders. He sleeps on a dog bed - in his current home he has a few choices and uses them all. In winter he copes well with a warm puffer jacket overnight.
Boogie loves an outing, in the car, on foot or running alongside a mountain bike off lead. He also loves playing fetch with a ball or a stick, which he may or may not bring back.
He has been well trained and knows and obeys quite a few commands. He has excellent manners around food - no humbug with this boy. Normally he just has his evening meal and does not expect or ask for snacks in the day.
This handsome fella would be great for an active outdoorsy person or family, but is fine to stay home and look after the place while his human family is at work.
Boogie is living in Alice Springs at the moment, but can travel north to his new home, or south to South Australia.
