Bubbles

Bubbles is the cutest, most lovable little guy, but with the biggest side-eye. He may be an older dog, but don’t let his age fool you. He lives for the outdoors! He loves going for walks on sunny days and exploring new places (little buddy has grown accustomed to his daily walks).

At home, he’s a mellow companion who loves napping in your vicinity. He’ll randomly hop onto the top of the couch just to stare at you. He loves belly rubs and chicken giblets. He’s usually pretty quiet and will only bark if he hears someone outside the apartment. And if you think he’ll sleep in his own bed, think again. Your bed is his bed.

Outside, Bubbles is a bit dog-reactive. His foster parents are currently working with him, but it’s definitely a work in progress that will need to be continued in his forever home. He must remain on-leash in public, although he has excellent recall in secure, empty spaces. Oh, he also has a thing with grates - he does not like walking on floors with holes in them.

With humans, Bubbles can be fearful of strangers and may nip if someone rushes into his space or approaches toward him too quickly. Respecting his boundaries and allowing him to warm up at his own pace is essential.

Bubbles has grade 2 heart failure which is he shows no symptoms of but is one medication which he will remain on for life. He has gardening 2 periodontal disease, so regular teeth cleaning at home is required.

Bubbles is best suited to an adult-only home with an experienced, dog-savvy owner who understands reactive behaviour, respects his boundaries and is willing to patiently continue his training.

He’d love a forever person who enjoys outdoor adventures just as much as quiet evenings on the couch.

Bubbles may need a little extra understanding, but once he trusts you, he has an enormous amount of love to give.
