Introducing Brandy, a tiny Chihuahua with the sweetest little soul. ❤️

Brandy is a nervous little boy when meeting new people or entering a new environment, which is not uncommon for the Chihuahua breed. He needs people to take things slowly and gently, giving him the time and space he needs to feel safe and comfortable before he can truly open up.

Underneath Brandy’s tiny, trembling body is a beautiful and loving soul. ❤️ He has so much love and affection to give. All he asks is that you understand him, understand his needs, be patient with him, and give him the chance to show you who he really is.

Once Brandy feels safe and comfortable with you, you will see a completely different side of this sweet boy. He will put his little paws on you to ask for attention and will happily be picked up because he absolutely loves being in your arms. He adores cuddles and, if he had his way, he would happily spend the whole day curled up on your lap. 🥰

Brandy gets along well with other calm and respectful small dogs. He would also be perfectly happy as the only dog in the home, provided his human is home more often than not and can give him the companionship and reassurance he needs.

🏡 Brandy is an indoor dog and knows how to use a doggy door to go outside for toileting. Because he is such a tiny boy, he would suit apartment living with a secure balcony, or a townhouse with a secure courtyard or safe outdoor area where he can access the outside for toileting.

❌ Brandy is not suitable for young children, as he can become nervous and overwhelmed around them.

🍽️ Brandy’s current routine:
• Royal Canin puppy kibble available throughout the day for him to graze on
• Chicken necks for lunch
• A healthy home-cooked meal for dinner

Sweet little Brandy is looking for a special home where he can be around his humans as much as possible. He will be comfortable spending some time in a playpen when his human needs to go out, but he truly thrives when he has people around him.

Brandy deserves a home where he will be cherished, protected, understood and showered with love, cuddles and the very best care. ❤️

He may be a tiny boy, but his heart is enormous. All he needs is someone willing to be patient with him and give him the time to trust.

* Ages of all household members
* Occupations of household members
* Whether you own or rent your home
***Please also provide some photos of your home, including the areas where Amber will spend her time and the backyard/outdoor area.

4. Do you currently have any other animals living with you?
If so, please provide details about each animal, including their species, age, breed and personality, and how they generally interact with other animals.

5. Do you have previous experience with Brandy’s breed? If not, have you done thorough research into the breed, including its temperament, exercise needs, grooming, training and potential health requirements?

6. Are you familiar with the long-term responsibilities of dog ownership, including training, socialisation, exercise and ongoing care? Are you willing to give Brandy the time, patience and support he needs to settle into her new home?

7. How many hours will Brandy be left alone on a typical day? Who will be responsible for caring for him during your working hours, absences, holidays or other periods when you are unable to be with him?

8. Are you financially and practically prepared to provide Brandy with quality veterinary care, preventative healthcare, grooming and nutritious food throughout his lifetime?

9. Will Brandy be considered a member of your family and primarily live indoors, with appropriate access to a secure backyard/outdoor area? Please describe where Brandy will sleep and how he will be accommodated overnight.

10. If your circumstances change in the future and you are no longer able to care for Brandy, do you agree to contact PFPRI and seek our assistance before making any arrangements to surrender, rehome him?
