Hi, I'm Alfie - a 9 week old white Staffy boy, professional snuggler, enthusiastic explorer and part-time tiny Tasmanian devil!

I'm a happy, affectionate little chap who really just wants to be wherever my people are. Working in the study? I'll be there. Watching TV? I'm on the couch. Pottering in the garden? I'm your shadow. Hanging out the washing? Sounds like a team activity to me! I love being part of the action and I'm happiest when I have company.

I'm a confident, social puppy and I absolutely LOVE other dogs. Big dogs, little dogs - if they want to play, I'm interested! I can get very enthusiastic during games and I sometimes provide my own commentary, which is where my excellent Tasmanian devil impression comes in. I may also get a little overexcited and try some cheeky puppy humping, but gentle redirection usually gets me back on track. I may be suitable to live with another dog, provided we're a good match.

I'd also be happy in a home with primary school aged children who can help me learn, play gently with me and understand that I'm still a very young puppy finding my feet.

I'm a bright little guy and I LOVE learning. I know my name, I can sit for a tasty liver treat and I respond really well to a calm voice and gentle, consistent guidance. I'm learning that faces and tails are definitely not chew toys - although sometimes my puppy brain needs a little reminder! When I'm tired or overstimulated, I can become a bit bitey, so helping me recognise when it's time for a nap is very important.

Speaking of naps... I'm actually pretty good at those. I love my crate and see it as my cosy little bedroom. When I'm tired, I'll often take myself off for a sleep. I'm also a big fan of warm spots - heated bathroom tiles, a cosy blanket over my crate or a sunny patch on the floor all get my seal of approval.

Outside is where my inner explorer really comes alive. Bushes and piles of leaves are particularly exciting. If you can hear rustling but can't see me, chances are I'm conducting some very important puppy research.

I love a good game of tug with my rope toy and I'm also a keen little chewer. Sticks, baskets, clothes, shoes and shoelaces can all look extremely interesting to me, so puppy-proofing is definitely recommended. Give me something appropriate to chew - a sturdy piece of wood or a good puppy toy - and I'll be a happy boy.

My toilet training is coming along really well. I'll often let you know very loudly when I need to go outside, and I rarely poop indoors. My biggest challenge is getting so distracted having fun that I forget I need to wee until it suddenly becomes an emergency! Regular toilet trips after sleeping, eating, drinking and playing are helping me learn.

I'm also pretty good with stairs and enjoy exploring new places. Loud bangs or hammering can give me a fright, but with calm reassurance I'm learning that the world isn't quite as scary as it sometimes sounds.

I'm not looking for a home where I'll be left alone all day. I'm a little puppy who loves company, stimulation and being involved in family life - and if I don't have enough of those things, I may decide to entertain myself... and my ideas of entertainment may not always match yours!

I'm gentle, affectionate, sociable, cuddly and very eager to please. I'm still a baby, so I'll need someone who can give me patience, routine, positive training and plenty of love while I learn how to be the wonderful grown-up dog I'm destined to become.

If you're looking for a little Staffy shadow who will happily join you for adventures, games, training sessions and an enormous amount of cuddling, I might just be your boy.
