About Shellie
Meet Shellie!
Shellie has found herself back at the shelter after previously being adopted, and understandably she seemed a little unsure when she first arrived. She was calm on lead and happy to head outside, and once she had a little time to take everything in, her personality quickly started to shine.
At first Shellie wasn't interested in treats and preferred to quietly work out who everyone was. It didn't take long though before she was zooming around happily, seeking out people for attention and showing just how sweet and affectionate she really is. Once comfortable, she loves cuddles, enjoys being around people and will happily sit for a treat.
Shellie is a lovely young dog who will benefit from a family that can continue building her confidence around unfamiliar people and new environments at a comfortable pace. She may be suitable for a home with secondary school aged children or older, and could potentially live with another well matched dog following a successful introduction. Behaviour wise, she's a really nice girl who just needs a little reassurance while she settles into something new.
Now Shellie is ready for another chance at finding a home where she can stay for good. No appointment is needed, so come and visit her at our North Melbourne shelter. If you're interested in adopting Shellie, our team can arrange a meet and greet with her. If you have children or another dog at home, please bring them along so they can be part of the meet and greet too.
