Hi, my name is Fern!

I spent a year in foster care, where I happily lived alongside cats and a dog. I'm a sweet, fluffy girl with lots of energy, a big personality, and plenty of love to give.

I'm an early riser and absolutely love starting my day bright and early! I also love to play, explore and keep busy, so I'm looking for someone who can keep both my mind and body active with plenty of exercise, enrichment, training and fun.

I'm still learning my toilet training, so I'll need a patient person who understands that I'm not quite there yet. I can still have accidents and toilet inappropriately inside the house, so a consistent routine, supervision and positive reinforcement will be important while I learn. I'll need someone who can celebrate my progress and help me become the best version of myself.

I love going to the dog park and having adventures. I'm not a huge fan of the car ride there and may have a little cry on the way, but once we arrive, I'm ready to have fun!

When it comes to other dogs, I'm looking for a very specific match. Although I lived happily with another dog in foster care and have met multiple dogs successfully, I can be timid and would prefer a calm, older, small dog who won't push me or overwhelm me. I need to be given the time and space to approach and build confidence at my own pace. A meet-and-greet with any potential canine sibling will be essential.

Because I can be a little timid, I'm recommended to live with older children who understand how to give me space and allow me to settle in at my own pace.

I can live with full-time workers, provided my needs for exercise, enrichment, companionship and appropriate management are met.
