About Dolce
Introducing Dolce,
This beautiful little lady is just as sweet as her name suggests.
A darling girl who loves to be cuddled and told how pretty she is, Dolce is the perfect companion for anyone who's looking for a gentle dog who adores people and can go anywhere without fuss or bother. Everywhere she goes she melts hearts with her wagging tail and eagerness for affection.
Weighing in at just over 5 kilos, taking Dolce for a day out is as easy as clipping her into her doggy car seat and away you go! She was initially a bit unsure about car travel, but now she takes it in her stride and has been quite the social butterfly around town lately. She loves her daily walks and has been exploring all sorts of parks and walking paths while in foster.
Dolce has shown that she can be friendly around other dogs given proper introductions, and has had a couple of doggy dates, but she has also enjoyed having her foster home all to herself. She may be able to go home with a very calm dog who knows how to respect her personal space, but she would be just as happy to be your one and only if you are someone who spends most of your time at home or you are able to take her with you.
Because Dolce has so much love to give, she can worry when she's left alone at home alone. She has been making good progress on building up her independence in her foster home, but she will need time to settle into her new home and adopters who understand and can support her in this. Dolce would be suitable for a single person, a couple, or a family with older, gentle children.
Dolce is such a joy to have around the house. She is toilet trained and has mastered the doggy door in record time. She's an undemanding girl who likes spending time quietly by your side as you go about your day. She also loves an energetic game of fetch - either with her favourite squeaky toys in the house or chasing a rubber ball in the backyard.
Although she's generally a quiet dog at home, she does like to let you know when someone is at your front door. But once they come inside, she'll greet them like a long-lost friend and then politely go and lie down nearby.
She's a gorgeous girl and will make a wonderful companion.
