Adoption information
About Ragnar
At just 9 weeks old, this handsome boy has already shown us what a confident, smart and well-mannered little pup he is. ❤️
Ragnar is a Mastiff x Labrador, so adopters need to be prepared for him to grow into a large, strong dog. While he is an easy little puppy now, the work put into him during these early months will play a huge part in the adult dog he becomes.
He is great with other dogs and has also met cats. The cats have very quickly explained the house rules, and Ragnar has listened and respected their boundaries 😂
He has spent time with children of all ages and is a really lovely mix of fun, confidence and responsiveness. He enjoys playing, exploring and getting involved in whatever is happening, but he is also switched on and eager to learn.
As with all puppies, he is still very young and will need continued work with toilet training, lead walking, appropriate chewing, boundaries, socialisation and learning how to spend time alone. Puppies don't arrive knowing how to fit perfectly into our lives, and consistency now is what helps create a well-rounded adult dog.
Puppy school will be a requirement for his adoption, and we would love to see him continue with obedience training afterwards. At his age he is right in the important socialisation period, so positive exposure to different people, animals, environments, sounds and experiences is incredibly valuable. ❤️
🏡 HOME REQUIREMENTS
Because Ragnar will be a large dog (approx. 30–40kg), we are looking for a home with a secure, grassed yard where he has room to play, explore and stretch his legs.
He must have secure, appropriate-height fencing with no gaps or areas he can easily escape from as he grows.
He will also need a proper covered outdoor area such as a patio or pergola that provides protection from the sun and weather. A kennel on its own does not meet this requirement.
Ragnar is not suited to a home where he will spend the majority of his life outside. He needs to be included as part of the family, with plenty of interaction, enrichment, training and love.
He's had a fantastic start, and now we're looking for a family who will put in the work to make sure he grows into the amazing adult dog we know he can be. ❤️
