About Matilda - 13 Week Old Cattle Dog
Meet Matilda ✨
A bright, affectionate little girl with a whole lot of personality and an even bigger heart. She’s clever, cuddly, playful and absolutely adores being part of whatever her humans are doing.
Matilda is the kind of puppy who trots happily behind you, checks in often for affection, and melts into your lap for cuddles when it’s nap time. She’s people-focused, loving and thrives on connection.
🐕 Playful, Social & Full of Fun
Matilda loves her people, her toys, exploring the yard and loves playing with her doggy foster siblings. She’s confident, friendly and has that classic cattle dog spark, she’s energetic, enthusiastic and always ready for the next game.
She has lovely manners with other dogs and would be very happy in a home with a friendly, patient canine buddy to show her the ropes and join her in playtime.
🧠 Super Smart Little Pup
Matilda is already showing just how clever she is. She’s toilet trained, knows sit and come, is picking up new routines quickly and is eager to learn. She’s curious, switched-on and loves using her brain.
Like all puppies, she’s still learning what counts as a toy and what definitely does not, so her new family will need to continue guiding her with gentle boundaries, positive reinforcement and plenty of appropriate enrichment.
Training, adventures, play and mental stimulation will help this bright girl grow into the confident, well-balanced cattle dog she’s destined to be.

Her adoption fee is $800 which includes her desexing when she is old enough. It also includes her first two vaccinations. She has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
She is in foster care in Medowie, NSW. Since she is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She will need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when she's 5 to 6 months old.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal cheques.
