About Burt - 2 Year Old Pug
Burt is a handsome 2 year old boy with a wonderful mix of affection, independence, and companionship. He enjoys being part of everyday life and is happiest when he can spend time with his people, whether that's joining you on a walk, helping in the garden, or simply relaxing nearby while you go about your day.
Since coming into foster care, Burt has settled beautifully into a home with three other dogs aged between 6 and 13 years. Living in a calm and structured environment has helped him become a relaxed and well-adjusted member of the household. While he can get a little excited at mealtimes, he has integrated well with the resident dogs and there have been no significant issues.
Burt enjoys regular walks and loves exploring the world around him. He has a playful side and is equally content entertaining himself with toys or simply relaxing in the sunshine. He would thrive in a home where he included as part of the family and taken on adventures. Would be suitable for children 8+
When meeting new people, Burt tends to warm up to women more quickly, while he may take a little extra time to build confidence with some men. Once he trusts you, he is a loyal and loving companion.
Burt is looking for a calm, stable home with clear boundaries and consistent routine. He would thrive with owners who understand the importance of structure and can continue helping him be his best self. He may be suited to living with another calm, well-balanced dog of a similar size, provided introductions are managed appropriately. He is not tested with cats.
Burt would be fine for full time workers if he had things to keep him occupied.
He’s toilet trained, uses the doggy door and an inside/outside dog.
If you're looking for a loyal mate who enjoys adventure, companionship, and a comfortable spot by your side at the end of the day, Burt could be the perfect addition to your family.
Burt is in foster care at Waratah West and available for adoption in NSW & ACT (no flights). His adoption fee is $800. He is desexed, vaccinated and treated for ticks, fleas and worms.
