Tall, dark and handsome, this loving young lad is ready to find his forever family!

Bluey is a 1.5-year-old American Staffy mix with a huge heart and a strong desire to be part of everything you do. He’s affectionate, clever and incredibly people-focused, and he’d happily volunteer as your full-time shadow and cuddle enthusiast. Whether it’s a walk, a car ride or simply supervising from the couch, he’s happiest when he’s included.

Personality: Bluey is a playful boy of medium energy, equal parts zoomies and cuddles. He adores people and greets every dog like a potential new best friend, though he’s still learning that not every hello needs his whole body behind it! He loves a good zoom with dog friends and has lived successfully with another dog, sharing a strong bond with his foster sister. When the play’s done, he’s happiest curled up with his people.

Clever and keen to learn: His foster mum says he’s a fast learner with a growing list of skills. Bluey already knows sit, wait, leave, off, out, look and check-in. He walks beautifully on lead, follows left and right directions, finds the car after an adventure, and comes running to his special whistle recall, even mid-play. He’s toilet trained and doggy door trained, highly food motivated, and loves praise and positive reinforcement.

Still growing: Like many young dogs, Bluey is still learning emotional regulation, how to settle and relax, and that the crate is a safe resting place. He’s not much of a toy enthusiast yet, but he’s a keen digger and a professional sock and shoe collector, so enrichment activities go a long way toward keeping that busy brain occupied.
