About Teddy
There’s something very special about Teddy.
With his big, golden-chestnut eyes, incredibly soft nature, and the sweetest little face, Teddy is a gentle soul who is discovering that life can be full of love, comfort, and kindness.
Teddy was found at a construction site, and he was was considered a pest. We believe he once had a home of his own, and when he befriended a rescuer, she could see the love still shining in his eyes, and now, in his foster home, that little light in Teddy is shining brighter every day.
Teddy is an absolute sweetheart. He loves head rubs and bum scratches, and when he’s really enjoying them, his purr becomes so loud it almost sounds like a tiny growl! He’ll happily come over for affection when he’s in the mood, then find a sunny patch of floor and stretch himself out for a long, blissful nap. His favourite place is somewhere close to his people and the other cats in the house, where he can quietly feel part of the family.
He has recently discovered that toys can be fun, too. A feather wand is starting to bring out his playful side, and every now and then he gets wonderfully excited about it, wiggling his body and rolling around like echoes from his kittenhood.
Teddy is incredibly gentle and friendly with the other cats in his foster home. He’s also learning all about the comforts of indoor life. He has a little soft, round white mat that he absolutely adores kneading. Put it on the bed? He’ll knead it there. Put it on the loungeroom floor? Same thing. That is his happy place.
And then there are his funny little quirks. When something catches his attention, Teddy will stand up on his hind legs and peer out the window like a tiny meerkat, determined to investigate whatever is happening outside.
He also LOVES chicken. Watching him scoop it up into his mouth and savour every bite is guaranteed to make you smile, especially because he looks like an adorable little goofball while doing it.
Teddy is instantly friendly, and with a few head rubs, a good bum scratch and perhaps a little piece of chicken, you’ll quickly find yourself becoming his best friend. Teddy needs a soft, quiet family who will give him the time to continue blossoming and in return you will discover a love that is real and overflowing.
Teddy is ready to be someone’s little teddy bear.
Please note that Teddy will need to be an inside cat for safety due to his fair skin. Cats and kittens with light noses and/or ears are more susceptible to getting sunburnt, and in turn, developing skin cancer.
All AWL NSW kittens and cats come litter trained, desexed, microchipped, and will have received their first vaccination.
