Augie is a gorgeous six-year-old Dachshund who is searching for a loving forever home where he can feel safe, cherished and truly part of the family. 🥰
This sweet boy can be a little anxious at times, so he would love a patient and understanding family who will give him the time, reassurance and gentle guidance he needs to settle in and build confidence. Once he feels comfortable, Augie is a loving companion who adores human affection and cuddles. 💕
Augie loves his toys and enjoys having a bit of fun, but he is equally happy curling up beside his people and soaking up all the love and attention. He also enjoys spending time with other small dogs and could be a wonderful companion for a friendly little dog. 🐶
Walkies are another favourite! Augie walks beautifully on lead and would love a family who enjoys taking him out for gentle adventures and daily strolls.

Adoption details
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the Promising Paws Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal.
We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home or in a public place. If you have other animals they should please be at the meet.
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed (e.g. size of dog, diet, temperament, exercise requirements).
Supporting documents required:
Real estate approval or proof of home ownership such as a rates notice;
Photos of your fence and current pets, if applicable.
The dog will be up to date with all vaccinations and worming as at the time of adoption. Any future vaccinations and preventatives will be at the adopter's expense.*
