Brodie is a handsome male Kelpie looking for an active home that can keep both his mind and body engaged. This intelligent boy is full of personality, loves to play with his toys, and is highly food motivated, making him a great candidate for ongoing training. Brodie already knows his name and enjoys spending time with his people, forming strong bonds with those who invest time in him.

Like many working breed dogs, Brodie can be strong on the lead and may pull when excited, so he will need confident and capable handlers who can continue working on his lead manners. The good news is that once he settles, he becomes much easier to walk. Ongoing training and positive reinforcement will help him develop into a well-mannered companion while providing the mental stimulation he craves.

Brodie has tested well with other dogs and could happily live as an only dog or with a suitable canine companion. He would be best suited to a home with children aged 12 years and over who can confidently interact with a larger, energetic dog. He is not suitable for a home with cats.

Kelpie experience, or experience with similar working breeds, is highly recommended. Brodie will thrive in a home committed to providing ongoing training, regular socialisation, and plenty of physical and mental enrichment. With the right guidance, this clever and playful boy will make a loyal and rewarding companion for an active family.🐾
