Meet Bellamy, the first of our beautiful Bell Litter to make his PetRescue debut.
There are nine puppies in this litter — seven boys and two girls — all born to their lovely young mum, Bell.
Bell is a very sweet-tempered Bull Arab girl and quite small for her breed. She has been a gentle, attentive mum to her babies and has passed on her lovely nature to this very appealing litter.
Bellamy is a particularly handsome little boy, with rich brindle and white colouring, a sturdy, nicely proportioned build and a distinctive naturally stumpy tail. Two other puppies in the litter also have shorter tails and, taking that together with the puppies’ weights, we think dad was most likely a medium-sized dog with a naturally stumpy tail. Take your pick!
Bellamy weighed 3.9 kgs at seven weeks and, given the size of both parents and the weights of the puppies at this age, we expect him to mature into a medium-sized dog rather than a large one.
He received his first vaccination on 15 September and is now beginning the next stage of puppy life — discovering the world beyond his littermates and learning all the things that will help him grow into a well-adjusted family dog.
As with any young puppy, Bellamy will need a family committed to continuing his training, socialisation and introduction to new people, places and experiences. Plenty of companionship, clear guidance and inclusion in family life will give him the best possible start.
Bellamy is offered for adoption under ARK’s Deferred Desexing Program, with desexing to take place when age appropriate in accordance with his adoption contract. The cost of desexing is included in the adoption fee, subject to terms and conditions.
We welcome interstate applications and are happy to assist with suitable transport options, quotes and travel arrangements. Interstate adoptions are a regular part of what we do, so distance need not be a barrier to the right home.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
