🐾 Meet Mama Mia – Older, Wiser… Still Ready for Fun! 🐾

Mama Mia might have a few more years under her collar, but nobody seems to have told her she’s supposed to slow down! This lovely girl is still very much a youngster at heart and would generally rather play fetch or have a good game of tug than sit around waiting for cuddles. She’s a gentle girl with plenty of spark and loves being involved in whatever is happening around her.

Mama Mia is a happy, friendly girl who enjoys getting out and about, riding in the car and spending time with her people. She’s equally content playing in the yard and gets plenty of extra exercise and entertainment playing with her canine companion. She has good house manners and is toilet trained.

She has lived happily with another dog and generally enjoys canine company. She can become very excited around other dogs, however, and tends to join in if another dog starts barking. She can also become excited when out and about, so walks and dog parks can be a little challenging. She pulls on lead and her recall isn't particularly reliable when something exciting catches her attention, so her new family will need to continue working on her lead manners and recall.

Mama Mia has no issues with people and is friendly and enthusiastic when meeting both familiar people and strangers. She has not lived with children, and she has not been tested with cats or other animals. She has no food aggression, although she can be a little possessive of her toys.

Mama Mia knows “sit”, “come” and “go to bed” and generally obeys her commands well — unless something particularly exciting has caught her attention! She is also quite comfortable making herself at home. Her foster carer reports that she confidently jumped onto their bed uninvited, although she was rather surprised when the waterbed moved underneath her!

She is an affectionate, playful and good-natured girl who simply enjoys life and isn't ready to retire to the couch just yet. She even happily yields to Didi when Didi pushes in for cuddles, which gives you a pretty good idea of her gentle nature.
Mama Mia has been living with Didi, and the two girls have enjoyed plenty of playtime together. We'd absolutely love to see them find a home together if the right family comes along, but we will happily consider separate homes if that gives each girl the best opportunity to find the right match.
