About Didi
š¾ Meet Didi š¾
Sweet, affectionate and happiest when sheās getting plenty of love and attention, Didi is a lovely young girl looking for a new family after her owners made the difficult decision to rehome her due to relocating overseas.
Didi is a loving, people-focused girl who enjoys being around her humans. She loves attention, playing in the yard and having fun with her canine companion. Sheās still very much a puppy, so her playful side comes with the occasional bit of digging! Now that she has settled in with her foster carers, she is also showing that she rather likes a lap cuddle.
Didi has good house manners and is toilet trained, making it through the night inside without any problems. She has had occasional accidents when stressed, but her foster carers have had no accidents inside. Her previous owner also reported a history of a UTI, so this is something her new family should be aware of.
Didi has lived happily with another dog and enjoys plenty of playtime with her canine companion. She does not guard her food and happily swaps bowls with the other dog. When it comes to attention, she likes to make sure she gets her share rather than being truly jealous.
Walking is currently a work in progress. Didi is quite reluctant on lead and seems unsure when out and about, so her reactions to other dogs appear to be driven by uncertainty rather than aggression. She has growled when encountering other dogs, but her foster carers are seeing her become more confident and she will benefit from patient, positive experiences and gentle guidance as her confidence develops.
Didi can also be a little wary when meeting people initially, but warms up as she gets to know them. She has had no issues with adults or older people. She has not lived with children, so any future interactions would need to be introduced carefully and supervised.
Her new family will need to provide secure fencing and make sure she cannot use objects or piles of things near the fence as a stepping stone to get out. Her previous owner reported one occasion where she climbed onto a pile of something beside the fence and got over, rather than actually jumping the fence.
Didi knows āsitā and ācome hereā and has some recall. She is an affectionate, playful young girl who is still learning about the world and building her confidence. She would love a home where she can enjoy plenty of companionship, attention, playtime and patient guidance as she grows into a confident adult.
Didi is currently living with another dog, Mama Mia, and the two girls enjoy each other's company. We'd love to see them adopted together if the right home comes along, but we will absolutely consider separate homes if that is where the best match lies for each of them.
